Protected from collisions

In our pure electric cars, the high-voltage battery is safely located under the floor, in the center of the body structure. It is protected by a special battery safety cage, an integrated part of the frame that meets the same principles we use to protect passengers.

This design helps improve protection in a wide range of crash scenarios, including different impact directions and types of collisions. In our plug-in hybrids, the battery is also located in the center of the car, centrally located under the floor. It benefits from the same protection of the passenger safety cage.
